Celebrando la diversidad de ecuador

La Escuela de Gastronomía de la Universidad de las Américas, a través de la clase de Realidad Nacional, organizó una exposición de comida con productos típicos del Ecuador. Familiares, profesores y estudiantes disfrutaron de deliciosos manjares autóctonos en donde se evidenció la diversidad de platos que se pueden elaborar con estos versátiles productos.

Diferentes granos de sal y garrapiñadas, ají de haba, ají de tostado, emborrajados o lampreado como se los conoce en la Costa, fueron algunos de los deliciosos platos. También se prepararon bebidas típicas ecuatorianas llenas de aroma y sabor, característico de las frutas de nuestro país, como el Canelazos y el Rosero.

Los estudiantes, bajo la dirección del docente chef Andrés Gallegos, brindaron un espectáculo artístico a cargo de Saruymanda. El evento, sumado a todas las actividades de la Escuela de Gastronomía, promueve el desarrollo de la cocina ecuatoriana, sus productos y su exposición frente al Ecuador y el mundo.

 

Celebrating ecuador’s diversity

The Culinary School of UDLA-Ecuador and its National Culinary Reality Class organized an event show casing some of the typical dishes of Ecuador. Families, students, and teachers enjoyed with these delicious autochthonous delicacies where the diversity of products and dishes showed how versatile the products can become in its elaboration.

Different caramelized and toasted grains, lima bean and corn based spicy sauces, sweet breaded plantain known to the people of the Coastal region where some of the delicacies shown, as well as Canelazos and Rosero which are the perfect demonstration of the flavors andaromas of the typical fruits of Ecuador.

The students and their chefAndres Gallegos also gave us a bit of the folklore with a dance in charge of the group Saruymanda. This event, along with all the activities the School of Culinary Arts of Udla-Ecuador promotes the development of Ecuadorian Food, its products and its exposure to our people and the world.
