Ecuador is one of the smallest countries in South America; however, it is a country rich in cultural, geographic and biological diversity.

Ecuador is also characterized for being one of the best countries in Latin America to learn Spanish, because of its neutral accent and the tendency for natives to pronounce words in full.

Our country has about 2,000 km of coastline and mangroves, a volcanic region located in the Andes Mountains, snow-capped mountains, springs, rivers and waterfalls in the Andean region. It also has an Amazon region characterized by tropical rainforests, large extensions of parks and ecological reserves. Finally, the island region or Galapagos is located in the Pacific Ocean about 1,000 kilometers between the peninsula of Santa Elena (on the Ecuadorian coast) and the island of San Cristobal.
