
Application process for international students
Get in touch with the International Office at your home university to begin the process.
Nominations must be made through the email of the International Office of the partner university. indicating the student’s information, such as full name, nationality, passport number, degree, and contact email.
Nomination deadline date:
- First semester (September): May 31
- Second semester (March): November 30
The students must complete the online application and upload the required documents as well as state the subjects they are interested in taking at UDLA.
Choose the subjects that you would like to take in hierarchical order (you can enroll in up to six subjects per semester). Make sure you include the list in your application. It is your responsibility to submit your subject list at your home university for their approval.
If you need the syllabuses of the subjects before completing your online application, request them from International Programs via email.
Documents required to submit your online application
- Recent photograph.
- Transcript of grades issued by the university of origin.
- Student motivation letter (written in Spanish–400 words max).
- Recommendation letter signed by a professor at the university of origin.
- Copy of current passport.
Only for students whose native language is not Spanish:
Spanish language proficiency test or screenshot of the AVE Global free test
Application deadline date:
- First semester (September): June 15
- Second semester (March): December 15
Interview
After carrying out your application, International Programs will schedule an interview with every student interested in participating in the program. The interview will be held using virtual platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Skype.
Acceptance
After having applied and once the interview has been done, International Programs will review your documents and emit an acceptance letter which will allow you to apply for a visa at the Ecuadorian consular representation located closest to your address.
